LOMOLOVE: Wedding Shots for FREE

Yep, you read it right. Your wedding photos for free.

The project is all about me wanting to try taking photos of eventful days, not the ones that make it on the news, but eventful days for some of us. Though I am open to other events (normal day with the kids, birthdays, etc.), I choose to shoot wedding ceremonies, or even pre-nuptial shots because the feeling of seeing two people filled with hope and joy just makes my day :). I can be the “other cameraman” on your pre-nuptial or wedding shoots though I suggest that you arrange this setup with your photographer. This is purely experimental in nature so I am not going to be directing you on your shots, I am not experienced enough to do this. In return, I expect that you don’t expect too much from the shoot, for it to be more fun, relaxed and spontaneous

So, what’s the catch? Well, for starters, I am not going to the intricacies of using a digital camera. Instead, I will be using film and a simple lomo camera. You don’t need to worry, you’re not going to pay for my films or the processing.

Given that situation, I have the right on all the images. I will be giving the couple a CD copy of the photos I got, for their personal use. But they cannot use it in any print medias or post it on websites WITHOUT giving credit.

If the couple wants me to layout their photos and provide them a hard copy, that is where they would have to pay. I cannot give an estimate right now on how it is going to cost because my mind is only on the “free photos” part. If the couples are keen on having a set of my shots of them in hardcopy, I will be glad to make the necessary arrangements and price schedule, Im sure it is not going to cost as much as other wedding photographers asks so no need to worry.

I haven’t tried shooting weddings or other events but I think this is going to be a nice project. Some of my shots are here and here if anyone wants to check out. Any volunteers? :)
